I know that my mum is getting excellent 24/7 care at the press of a button.
I very much enjoy being here. The staff are very kind, helpful and always with a smile. There is a variety of activities to choose from, I particularly like the keep fit and yoga.
I can relax knowing the caring staff will provide everything that is needed from day to day, particularly gardening, and the recent addition of facilities for residents to play and look after plants was most welcome. The garden itself is a nice place to be especially with the new patio furniture.
The care and kindness my husband has been shown since moving into Caer Gwent has been outstanding. It is a very happy home with dedicated and friendly staff and carers. His needs are dealt with effortlessly and in a way that makes him feel comfortable and safe.
Caer Gwent has been rated good in our 6 monthly internal mock CQC inspection by our designated Safety and Compliance Team and audited monthly as part of our commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Our Safety & Compliance team at Guild Care audits our residential care homes and conducts mock inspections, in line with the latest CQC framework, to check that our services are safe, responsive, effective, caring and well-led.
The team asked for individual or group feedback from people living at Caer Gwent, their relatives & visitors and members of staff, and received so many positive responses about the care and leadership at Caer Gwent.
Our inspection team also observed the care and support offered to individual residents and reviewed the record-keeping and care pathways to make sure everything was correct and thorough.
Following a very detailed inspection, Caer Gwent has received a rating of ‘Good’ for each key question with one quality statement – ‘Independence, choice and control’- rated as ‘Outstanding’.”
We look forward to CQC’s prompt return in order to restore the rating to a standard that accurately reflects the experiences of our residents and relatives.
